The role of the fire detectors is to sense one or more phenomenon resulting from fire: like smoke, heat, infrared, gas, UV radiations etc.
Type of detectors:
1.HEAT DETECTORS:
Heat detectors have two main classification of operation, ‘rate of rise’ and fixed temperature. It is triggered when the temperature increases.
2. SMOKE DETECTORS:
A smoke detector senses smoke as an indicator of fire. In commercial spaces, devices issue a signal to a fire alarm control panel. The smoke detector is a disc shaped 150MM/6” diameter and 25mm/1” thick.
3. FLAME DETECTORS:
Flame detector is installed to detect flame or fire. It is also used in industrial appliances to confirm weather or not the furnace is lit properly. It is more accurate in detection of fire than smoke and heat detector.
4. FIRE GAS/ CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR:
They detect the presence of Carbon Monoxide.
